Upgrading

What makes LocalView Fusion a next generation solution?

The earlier versions of LocalView delivered GIS over two separate platforms - one for internet and the other for intranet. LocalView Fusion however, introduces a single technology platform for Local Government to employ whether they are delivering Geographic Information externally to citizens via the internet, to employees via the intranet, or to partners for co-operation or publication.

A further key differentiator between LocalView Fusion and its predecessor is the significant improvement in the provisioning and publishing environment. The introduction of GeoTemplates delivers an easy way for even non-expert users to populate a template by selecting the information fields they require from a menu of options, whilst innovative GeoWindows enable geographical functionality to be rapidly distributed to multiple areas of the existing website, via a ‘cut and paste’ process.

In LocalView Fusion, innovative tools significantly extend functionality and distribution to both internet and intranet environments. The new approach provides infrastructure consolidation, a consistent interface and a more efficient maintenance environment. The chart to the left indicates some of the key differences to be found between LocalView 2 and LocalView Fusion.
